What is

EMS training?

Endorsed by professional athletes, A-list actors, and models worldwide, EMS (electro muscle stimulation) is the fastest growing area of the fitness industry. A combination of electro stimulation and traditional training, EMS training elicits muscle contraction using electric impulses that are generated by a wired or wireless connection and passed through the electrodes in a training suit.

How does EMS training work?

EMS training uses electrical impulses that mimic the signals our central nervous system sends to our muscles, just like when we move or lift a weight. Impulses are delivered via electrodes in the pads of the training suit that permeate deep into the muscles, stimulating them at a rate much higher than can possibly be achieved in regular training, allowing for a more intense workout.

What does a session look like?

Arrive for your booked appointment, where you will be given a quick briefing on EMS, and asked to sign a disclaimer. You will be directed to our changing room to put on a base layer that goes underneath the suit..

Once changed, your trainer will strap you into an XBody EMS that will conduct the electrical impulses. Whilst doing this, first time customers will be given pre exercise instructions, and then the workout will begin.

Your trainer will lead you through a series of exercises to give you a full body workout. The intensity of impulses will be varied according to your fitness level and goals. Your session will include a short relaxation stage.

After your workout, you will have a post-workout cool down and debrief. You can then shower – we provide towels and other hygiene amenities – so you can get on with your day.
